Attracted to the beauty and permanance of cast bronze, I studied with the foundry artisans of Pietra Santa, Italy where I also had the opportunity to work in the Cararra studio of California sculptor Manuel Neri. His figurative work greatly influenced my own early efforts in bronze.

I've spent countless hours at museums around the world where I studied and absorbed the detail and nuances of ancient, fragmented Cycladic, Greek and Roman sculptures, which have also influenced the direction of my work. I continue to explore the human form, referencing ancient cultures, mythology and most recently the mother and child relationship.
